Beautiful oriental lillies are a must try this season ... you are sure to chuck all those bottled fragrances ... organic or not ... :) ... believe me you will ...
... Sarah and I bought some flowers the other day ... it was a ... 'I choose one type and you choose one type' ... kind of a deal ... and the lil one goes ...''o.k mama'' ... yeah famous last words thrown at every mom before show time ...
well ... well ... lilttle do the lil' ones know ... sometimes ... mums just have a ...win-win ... situation too ... ;)... and at the end of this one we had two bunches ... the oriental lillies and white tiger lillies ...
... the pretty orientals found themselves a place at the entrance ... on the console table ...
... you can't miss the just how special the whole place feels ... and the flowers ... are gorgeous too ... if you aren't already heading out to get yourself some stems ... ' WHAT YOU WAITIN' FOR ... RUN ' ... o.k so I'll just wait to hear all those lovely stories from your end ... I know you'll have some ... those lillies do have that kind of effect ... ; )
I am getting inspired & how !! Just last week had headed to Lonavla and got these beautiful Amaryalis flowers from there. Also managed to the bulbs. They are a bright fiery red & look lovely in the house esp since the skies here in Mumbai are so grey !!
ReplyDeleteI discovered your blog while I was googling "Oshiwara furniture market" earlier this month & I am in love with all that you have put up. Love your ideas & implementing them to in this new house I moved in last month !! Thank you : )
Love your post. Agree on the flowers bit. I have a bunch of bright red amaryalis in my living room and they make you feel so cheerful despite the incessant rain & dark skies here in Mumbai.
ReplyDeleteI love not only the flowers but also the unusual vases. Yeah they smell awesome but their beauty is increased manifold with the kind of vases they are put in.Beautiful once again.Keep it up.

I fully agree that Rajee's inspiration comes from her mum.
ReplyDeleteHer mum is such a lovely person who is so caring, loving and selfless and so full of care and emotions. Rajee has also inherited a lot of her mum's good qualities. They were our neighbours in Ratan Park -- Pune and we share some fond and some not so fond memories.
Rajee must meet up sometime.
They look lovely!
ReplyDeleteThey have the loveliest colours and scent, having just had a birthday party where I used the same for the first time in a long long time...suddenly I was wondering why I don't have them around all the time!

Hi Shweta,
ReplyDeleteLove to have another Delhiite,on board... would be great fun to share notes ... and soo ... yep I do sometimes go to Amar Colony ... three years ago it was interestin ... infact I picked up a lovely Chinese tray from the elderly Sikh gentleman ... but this time it was sooooo ... disappointing. Again only the sikh gentleman had a few lookable things ... but other wise I was quite disappointed. I;d say come over to Mehrauli ... may be I should do a post about that ... ;)
