They need you this Summer
Please keep in your garden/veranda/terrace/window sill..a large, shallow, earthen pot with clean water for birds.
Birds need water to drink (especially in summer) and to have a bath. Change the water everyday. Clean the vessel every week. Additionally, you could keep out some bird seed--bajra, broken rice, puffed rice..to make their job easier.
The bonus is a lot of birds you didn't know existed in your neighbourhood, will come visiting--i have counted about 20 species in two days, from my table..
please leave a deeper pot/vessel outside your gates, for stray dogs--who die of thirst in their heat..
