Here's an image of the artwork ... you probably saw on the wall of my very first apartment . Zaara , one of my dear reader wanted to have a closer looky ... so here goes Zaara ... the picture you requested ... my very first attempt at art : ... )
1. A face that blends very well with the style that has a very early 1800's feel to it. Actually looks like a portrait of a lady from the Patiala royal family. 2. The clothes, the background, the color, all work very well together to form a royal portrait kind of a feel. Excellent undertones and shadows that blend in with the brushstrokes. 3. Now I definitely know you are a hardcore Punjabi, even your painting says that out loud for you.
Again, that's just my opinion and I'm not trying to tell anything to anyone else.
Blush ... blush ... lady ... I am not a patch on what some of the artists in India are doing. But hey compliments always have a loving sound about them ... and sure I love it ;)
Hi Shillu, Thanks a ton for all the compliments ... encouraging words ... would love to... its just that with a lil' baby at home ... I don't get that kind of concentrating time ... hopefully that being a passing faze ,one day ... :)
Hi Patricia, Oh! I have seen some of the most amazing artists of India ... honey I stand no chance in today's Indian art scene ... but someday I'll sure dabble again for the fun of it ;) ... thanks ...its always great to hear from you ...
Ah! Lady , I dabbled a itsy- bitsy in paint while in the US... I haven't painted since and I don't know when I'll get the time to do it again ... soooo ... there isn't that load of them to call a stock ... but I must say I am blushing with the kind of lovely encouragement I am getting . tee-hee-hee ...
Who modeled for this portrait?
