Ideas to light up your home ...

I wonder if I 'd call it a tray scape ... hmmm ... its quite like an instant magical touch ... well in this case ... instant Diwali Decor ...

A tray ... a few of your fav. things and flowers ... some greens ...lights ...

I was arranging the orchids in my silver tea pot ... the green glass looked nice with the silver ...along came some sand paper vine leaves ... and the tea light and candles and well ...

... a coffee table ... a console table ... your side unit ... a cozy nook ... and just about anywhere you decide ... I think you could try this arrangement ... complete with your diyas or candles ... I'm sure you too will feel the festive mood ...with some instant Diwali decor ...

If you liked this idea do share your thought with me ... would love to hear from you ... who knows two thoughts put together and we just may have another decor idea ... :)

  8. Gorgeous! Love how the lights reflect differently- and the candles on the tray and off. Like Urban Green's thought of muted gold, which would go. What about silver for more contrast?

  10. Sigh! Rajee, you really have the magic touch! Lovely!
Your home is going to look so magical this Diwali and I look forward to seeing many posts with a whole lot of photos to feast on.
Just one question : will the heat of the tea-lights or candles affect the table and its polish, etc. ? Does it leave patchy rings?

  29. Rajee, I have those Arabic lamps, hanging all over my garden during Diwali, I put tea lights in Kawa glasses with a bit of water in the bottom (to spread the heat), and decorated a center table - seating 20 people with candles all over the place. Spray the garden with camphor and eucalytus oil mixed in water (for mosquitos). This was last year, I have to do something new this year.
