A Styling story ... color, texture and a coffee table ... :)

I do happen to have a lot of color on my mind these days ... :) Its a wonderful high ... to play around with ... colors ... textures and finishes .... ask any designer ... that's just what you'd get to hear. And if you also happen to be in the thick of things with your projects and make overs... at home or at work ... and I'm pretty sure there are those moments ... where you go ...'gosh now what is not right here' ... try this ... take a camera and go clickty -click ... a camera never lies and what you couldn't quite pin point ... will be, ah! so very there for you to figure out ... :)
Hope you enjoyed this lil' burst of color ... :) And as always ... would love it if you shared your thoughts with me ... :)

  15. Hi @ Ananva,
The Kurta, is an old buy in Mumbai ... comes in handy quite often ... ;)I am looking to invest in some more traditional Indian wear ...
As for my girls ... the older one the Labrador ... she grew up seeing mommy loving the things around ... often you'll see her pop in while I go about my photo shoot ... I thing she too enjoys it ... especially when I pull everything out during Christmas ...As for the lil one ... I have tried to not make her feel that things around the house need to be pushed away from her ... over time she too has developed that comfort level ... the issue is when she too wants to flex her designing whims ... grrrr !... there can be just one designer in the house ... now that is what is my issue ... ;)

  17. Hi Rajee, Loved the distressed tray and the painted copper bowls (or atleast I'm thinking it's copper). The rough and smooth textures work really well...lovely! Sujatha

  19. Wow, wow, wow, Rajee,
You look so beautiful in the photograph at the top of your blog.

(((I really want what you're wearing.!!))))

I have been collectin many vintage Indian gowns and coats for years and I love wearing them out to special occasions

You remind me a little bit of me when I was younger. I have to come to India one day soon, I just love everything that comes out of India.

It is so nice to see that you're settled in your new home and back to blogging.

    Where has this year gone??
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

    xx Coty

  20. Hi Rajee,

Am a regular here though commenting the first time...love yuor blog and your awesome sense of style. Tres chic and elegant! When we come back to India permanently, I will sooooo copy your style for my house :)

I have quite a few cute lil things lying around my house but am not able to employ most of them cos i have an 18 month old toddler whose sole aim in life is to destroy mamma's decor...its tiring to control him! But when he is a lil older...all my goodies will be out and on display...

I think this post of urs is my favourite so far...and u look lovely in ur chicken kurta...
    pretty pretty pretty!

    Cheers
