A Very Merry Christmas to you ...

... this Christmas ... things have been so crazy at our place ... I actually broke a 13 yr. old tradition of having our tree decked early Dec., woops ... I put it up just the other day ... but I couldn't help drapping it ... :) ... and the rest was left to the dad and his lil' girl gang. Aimee, Sarah and Sofiee ... :))Honestly, I no intervene ... and so even the tree has a santa hat ...
 Guess, it true ... kids have a very infectious way of spreading cheer ... even in the midst of crazy times ... thanks to my kids  ... it is Christmas in a big way ... this time too ... :) Now ... all we wish for in Gurgaon is ... let it snow ... let it snow ... ;)

It was a fun Christmas this year ... :)

This Christmas was real good fun with the kids ... Sarah played host to all her friends ... but honestly I think we parents had a real ball ourselves. And we still got the NewYears to cheer about ... it sure feels like one long party ... I can't help lighting the candles every evening. It make sme feel so me ... :)
With temperatures dipping to 0 degree celsius ... it really is awesome ... now all I miss is some snow... :))
Hope your New Years plans  are all ready and  .... Ahmmm ! the list of resolutions as well ... ;))

Somehow I always associated silverware with the feel of Christmas ... Hmmm ... wonder why ...

but then, my brass collection is increasing way faster and silverware, not really( I'd love to work on that) ... :) and sooo ... I find all my brass thingies out and I got over the patina look and polished some of them ... sure I am trying to figure out ... would it work ... will they all put together look Christmassy enough  ... or is it going to be a oh! so Diwali -a-look ... ??#$@

 I sure drool over all the conifers in all the pretty Christmas pictures that some really lovely blogs showcase ... guess junipers and mayur panki can do a fab job stepping in ...

 though most of the decor this year has been my 5 1/2 yrs. doing ...  but I find myself a few corners here and there ... ;))

We are off to celebrate the holidays ... have yourself a very Merry Christmas ...and a great New Year ... catch you all in 2012.

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas ... :)

Its breezy here, in Gurgaon today ... I am potterring around the place in my socks ... and the home office of mine sure knows how to chill me ... but guess what ,lil' does it know I am an all out Christmas girl ... chill me too much and I'll set  the decor at home in total Christmas fever ... ;))giggle-giggle ...

 Tissue's ... weeee ...  formal entertaining faux pas ... ??? ... well! normally speaking ... just plain ol' boring ... thrown in ... stacked up in a bunch ...they are like ... just there ...

 ... after many years of ... a lot of phoo -phoo ... I do get into situations ... when I haaaaaaaaave ... (grrrr) ... to get them out ...  ;) ... so o.k, Rajee wake up 'n' smell the coffee ... ;)

  ... well ! then  ... the coffee smells great and no more .. crib-crib ...whine-whine ... ;) ... think up of ways ... make it look cute ... cool and its all done and quite fine ...

...dealt with the plain ... mundane tissue issue ... now lets move on to other fun things in life ... ( gosh! you have to see my husband rolling his eyes ... when he figures what I am writting about ...) ... :):) ... well! then what do you say ... tissue- issue bothers you too or are you  with Sam, rolling your eyes ... ;) ... o.k go ahead ... shoot it out ... share it here ... what you got working in your mind ... ;) :)

No celebration is quite so complete, if you haven't done a wee bit more ...  to show them you care to make it special for them ... you care to take that time out ... you poured your heart out for them ... :)

Here's a tablescape to celebrate with those who are very special to us ... those who give us a reason to wake up in the morning ... a reason to get through the day no matter how hard ... for those make you want to shine up ... dust up ...plump up ... and layout the best that you got in your crockery cupboard ... whose smiles mean the world to you and who ... when don't appreciate  or compliment your efforts ... you feel like breaking the pot on their heads ... ;) :) ;b :)

Getting paper crafty this Christmas ... :)

 It'll have to be declared purely accidental ... but Sarah and I got crafty last evening ... what with the christmas songs ... heater on full blast ... and our tree ... that is out and we've started to work on the decorations ....

... this morning,something about the colors of the entire messy dining table ... that doubles up as our worktop ... made me feel really happy (o.k I don't believe  it, I actually called mess... happy... wooo... there I did it) ... ;)

... but it did ... so here I am sharing with all of you a little paper roll arrangement we worked on ... :):) ...

... theres more happening at the other end of our drawing room ... but guess that waits for some more work and another blog post ... hope you all join me in having some paper fun around this Christmas ... :)

It rained here like never before ... their is that winter nip in the air ... my toesies feel like some warm socks ...  and I was thinking of where I may have put away the tree in the store ... Martha Stewart ... my lady for inspiration in all seasons is  on my mind ... love this picture of the three wreaths at the blue door ... what would Christmas be without her inspirations .... :) I really love that lady.
And so, as it begins to snow on my blog ... Iam already jetsetting into another festive mood ... I had been feeling low ... but I have a tingling feeling it won't last too long and I want to DECORATE ...  how about you all ... ;)

Quick and easy... hang some flower balls... this Diwali .. :)

String some flowers together and pull them real close ... if they fall off the string...well! string them in again ... as simple as that and ... taadaa ... what do we have cutsey lil' balls of flowers ...

... hang them just about anywhere you can think of something hanging ... under your chandelier ... wall lights ... curtain rods ...
