This is a flower arrangement we did for Diwali one year... a great centre piece for the table and its height made it quite dramatic. The container is an aquamarine color hand blown jar...filled in with white lillies , red anthriums ... and dry twirley sticks. Pouring in the water before starting to arrange the flowers is a better idea....less mess for later. Arrange the sticks in first ,all it then needs is to fill up with the flowers. The sticks by themselves, at certain angles, help anchor the flower stems.

Rajee - you have a lovely blog that showcases your creativity. your home is exquisite!! I've already been so inspired with the photos. This floral arrangement is stunning, but I'm even more enamoured by that striking red artwork in the background. Is that your own original art?

Hi Zaara,
It is so lovely to hear from you on my blog ...I am floored by all your compliements and the time you've taken to enjoy going through my blog ... this floral arrangement ... was a dig from the past ... and so the images don't do justice to how pretty it actually was looking ... surprised me to ...sadly I didn't have very good images ... non the less ... I still enjoy it and loved that you liked it too...
Oh ! the art work in the back ground is my own work ... just some pieces i did ... while I was in San Francisco .This particular one is my husbands fav. so it stayed :)
