I had a ball preparing for Sarah's (my three year ol' ) ... 3rd birthday ... I started with having a butterfly party, but my lil' one pitched in with so many ideas that mommy has to say it was a bit of mish-mash of lil'girl's wonderland dreams :)
My focal point was the arrangement I did for the buffet table ... I drapped a pink silk fabric on one of my glass jars ... and hung Sarah's collection of elves and butterflies along with lavender satin ribbons ...
Have to say the cotton candy in containers was such a hit with the 3 year ol's ... and my table had a bright pink burst of colors ;)
I decided to paint a cow myself for the pin the tail game ... and then I remembered the exact same serving dishes I had ... woww ... things just start to fall in place as you go along ...
the pink ... red ... and lavender balloons ...sure set the color tone for the party ...
there are always some bit of goof ups ... and while I was gone to take care of some other stuff the guys doing the party hall up decided to do some bit of their own decoration ... with the streamers ... I was well upset ... but didn't let that ruin the last minute fun ...
The dance floor was set ... and the kids sure freaked out with their butterfly wings ... balloons and tons of cotton candies and chocolate goodies ... I'm glad ... it all turned out great fun ...

aawww.. Happy Birthday to little Sarah.. What a beautiful name!! You've done such a great job with the party.. Love the center piece and the table decor.. The cotton candy is such a fab idea..
We did the wings thing for my daughters 6th Birthy.. It was a fairy theme party.. And I think.. I enjoyed myself more than the kids!!
love the tiny little detail Rajee...! such love. Your daughter is one creative wiz , takes fter her mom no doubt!
I can imagine the gala time u must have had while arranging the party....Fun party for a fun child:-)

Happy Birthday Sarah, what a beautiful party, the joy have having a girl.
Hi Patricia,
thanks for all the compliments ... you hit the nail on the head ... I had a complete fun time doing the party ... ;)
Cheeky moms ... eh!
Hi Chandan,
Lovely to ear from you ... yes, the lil' one was completely involved ... she enjoyed supervising mom ... talk about catching them young .Mom and daughter do have clash of ideas often ... :)
Hi Doodleduck,
I did ... had a lot more things planned ... but learned my lesson to not leave things to be done in the last week ... Sarah came down with viral and there went all the things which I had to take care of in the last week ... will plan better next year ... ;)
Hi Praji,
We did ...got the kids swinging to some nice no's and some of the mommies ... since I have a strong dislike for the bollywood no's ... made everyone swing to Disney ...BoneyM and Abba ;)
Ofcourse... Girls just they wanna have fun was the fav. one :)
Hope your B'day trip out was a great one too ...
Hey Arch,
Making the most ... till the little one decides mommy you are too old fashioned ... and this is just why I only wanted a daughter ... If i had a boy he would still be MR.X I still won't have figured what to do with him ... :)
Hi Sreelu,
YOu are soooooooo..... right the joy of having a girl ... it my dream come true ... I always wanted a cute walky-taky doll(remember those when we were small) ...it took time but God gave me a real one :)
Oh, my b'day bash was awesome. Can't put up the pics, mum will buy a gun to shoot me for all the stuff I did on the trip (like I always do when I'm in the hills). Went rock climbing, did some real extreme rappelling down some serious cliffs, climbed up a hill on mountain bikes, camped out in a place where the temps reached very near to zero at night.
Ohh!! The coup de grace, saw a couple of mountain leopards. They came by the tents at night and kept frolicking outside the tents for nearly a half hour. I was okay after a couple of shots of rum, but whoever stayed away from the rum, longest half hour of their lives.
And just for the record, I detest the bollywood stuff myself. I'm totally into rock, metal, trance and even stuff like jazz, blues, classical but no bollywood EVER for me.
It is so extreme in me that people around me tell me I am not suited for India and that I should've been born in the US or in west Europe somewhere, but not India. It's like I'm a secret firangi...
Sarah is such a cutie pie munchkin! :)
Belated happy b'day to her!
Praji easy with those celebrations with the leopards ... I know of a sardar who had a head on with the monkeys on a jungle trail ... but leopards are another deal ...next time rum might not work ... so either gun for the run or run for the gun ...
And next time let those folks know ... gyrating to those item no's isn't about being Indian ... with your Sikh identity and that writings you do ... we'll need you in India ... ;)
Hi Bhavna,
Thanks for the wishes ... brat had an awsome time swinging to girls just they wanna have fun ...
cute munkin ... is a miss smarty pants too ... mommy has some challenges catching up with the quick witted lil' missy ...;) gosh and she's just 3 ... and already my hair coloring expenses have shot up :)
ooh she is a real cutie pie and beautiful. Sounds like the mommy had more fun though LOL.
Mommy had great fun planning ... and girls had great fun doing what girls love to do best... butterflying around ... and oggling the barbie doll cake ... and well had had the satisfaction of seeing my baby happy ... there's nothing more gratifying than hear your baby say mommy did it all for me ... :)
