I sincerely apologise to all my friends and readers... for lack of posts of late and my not being prompt in replying to all your comments ... I genuinely have a reason. We are working at trying to find ways to save an enviromentally sensitive lake in our neighbourhood (which incidently happens to be the endangered mangroves that government of India is striving very hard at protecting and conserving)
Sadly though , in a maze of red tape and probably profitable realestate deals ... this lake is loosing out the battle to survive and not many are forthcoming to help this cause.
If you may be interested to know more about this issue ... you can join the group ...SAVE SEAWOODS LAKE ... on facebook.
We can do with help of any sort ... you can be residing in anypart of the earth ... but please remember ... every environmental issue concerns all of us alike ...
You can help by covering this issue in all the media you deal with ... do you know organisations who may be interested in supporting and intervening for this cause.
Write to our authorities... (you'll find the e-mail addresses on facebook group SAVE SEAWOODS LAKE)
Share your views with others on the group... encourage others out there by something more you may have to share ...
Help us mobilise media and public pressure on the local authorities so that they may take the decision that is best for our environment.
Please help ... this is about our environment ... its about our earth ... this is about all of us.

Seawoods lake is a water body and an eco system in itself. There are fish in the lake, birds come to feed here, it is home to plants as well.
Fill it up and you'll have another concrete building that may be a marvel in it's own right, but in today's scenario of global warming, depleting nature in thius manner seems like a crime.
What's the point of fighting global warming in closeted conference rooms? Let's get together and save this lake that's right outside our houses or let's take an oath never to criticise environmental abuse of any form ever in the future.
Sonali Hudar.
Hello!! Please check your mails on facebook and gmail and revert back so I can probably help you look for the right media contacts.
Hi Rajee,
Let me know how I can help!
Good for you, Rajee! I'd hate that lovely lake to become a site for another mall.
Remember the area aound Inorbit in Malad? That place was a mangrove-filled area some years ago. Now it's the site of malls and commercial spaces and residential buildings.
We seem to keep forgetting that everything needs a balance. It's a pity that our children and their generation will have to suffer for the selfishness of ours.
Please go across to the newspapers, Midday, TOI and Indian Express. YOu need to get this message across the media, repeatedly. Remember Jessica Lal- it was solved by the youth and the media, not the politicians. Sorry for sounding so sanctimonious, but its the future we are talking of. We will leave nothing for our kids at this rate.
Hi Sudha,
That was a big deal on your part ... hope more and more follow your way... :)
Hi Sonali,
Lets gun for it ... we have to do it for our kids ... remember how they just got out there with their lil' toy shovels ... to, as they said," throw the mud out of the water ... so that the fish don't get hurt... mama" ... seriously now its for the mamas and dad's to do their bit for the future of these kiddos ... :)
Hi Praji,
