Hi Rajee, Oooh, I love your ideas.. well done, your table looks amazing. Make mine a cuppa chai masala please. Here's my fav. shortbread recipe.. 1/2 lb soft butter - 1/2 cup icing sugar - 1/2 cup cornflour - 1 1/2 cups flour - 1/2 tea salt Method - Beat butter, and icing sugar till creamy. Add cornflour and beat, and flour and salt. Pat into flan pie plate and prick with fork. Bake 140 for 1 hour. Very slow oven. When softly browned and time up, take out of oven and slice into cubes while warm. Sprinkle with castor sugar and enjoy with your tea. Thanks for your postings.. Jean Wethmar Brisbane Au

sweet empanadas in spanish. called karanji in marathi. gujia in bengali.

my version.

the filling is made of jaggery, khopra, and minced nuts . cut small circles of 4 inches in diameter from a frozen pastry sheet. place the filling and fold into a semicircle. Brush with an eggwash and bake.

you can go wild on your filling - dates, cream cheese, minced nuts or raisins, almonds and nuts. you can go in any direction on the filling and you will not go wrong.

Have a nice tea party. no coffee ?
i make mine with sambouka.

miss me.
