Super Cool! Aah that's some creativity Rajee, using bandhani to make cushion covers...
Those trays in high gloss paint (I'm guessing) look gorgeous!
Hi Sesitive creations ... you came close ...like99.99% close ...;)... I fell in love with these silk textiles with Shibori work( done exactly the same way as bandhani ... I too am trying to find out the more technical diff. if any. Love the crushed look and with Kantha stitches done on them ... you'll never loose that crushed look.
I hope you enjoyed them ... :)
Hi C(Miss Frangipani),
You are so right, we tried painting these trays with high gloss paints ... something I always wanted to ownfor myself ...just lovely plain colours ... :)) ... glad you enjoyed them too ... :)
Did you spray paint them, Rajee? They are yummy!
yes C, is a painstaking process... we tried it out in the workshop ... applying finishes ... sanding ... painting ... sanding refinishing ... sanding and painting ... we do three coats of paint before glossing them up ... my carpenter HATES me ... ;))
Tell your carpenter we're all admiring his work!
Hi C,
But what about me ... all my long hours of sitting in dusty workshops ... pushing them harder to perfection ... fighting off their male egos ... and making sure I got what I want ... :)) ... not fair, not fair ... oh! the perils of an unsung designer ... sob!sob! ... ;))
