Around the house ... black wall and all ... :)

Here's a more elaborate picture of our black wall ... the chairs that we covered in my silk kantha textiles ...
... you'd have imagined that I'd have my home all done and ready to go ... right after we finished painting our house .... aaaahhhhmmmmm ... actually that's not quite how I love to do up my place ...

... I take my own sweet time, deciding on what goes where ... probably switching a few things around the house a few million times ... dreaming of a special piece ... working on its design... and then a moment in time, when I slowly start to love the way the house is coming together ...

... right now I am sooooooooooooooo completely in love with the black on my wall ... love the textures against it ... the burnt look of the mirror frame ... the yellow etching against the black ... and my stone carving ...

... a few stems of white oriental lillies ... I am really happy ... I know talking of textures ... one element I am dying to add here is a huge rock in my drawing room ... ;))) ...

... not sure how and where that will materialise ... guess will keep you all posted on that front as things come together... in the mean while I need to plan a trip sometime to Kutch ... I really need to go shop there ... ;))
Hope you liked a peek into a part of our home ... bring you more as I feel I may be ready to feature it. Thanks for dropping by to have a looky ... :))

That black wall is so fabulous! Everything works so well with it. I'm trying to imagine that colour on one of our dining room walls with its 20 foot ceiling and I think it will look amazing (and hide the dust, perhaps!) :) Thanks for the inspiration, Rajee!1

Hi Chryselle,
Honestly, I loooooove my black wall ... an experiment gone good ...;)) ... but here's a catch all hand prints and bum patches show easy ... as does dust ... also because I used matte finish ... cause gloss one was showing all the uneveness. But I am personally o.k to do a bit of a wipe job ... cause I love the look. So I told you before hand... now make a call. Looooove your idea of the double ht. wall ... sounds fantafabulous ... :))

Hi Don,
Lol ... with my ph. camera ... :)) ... this wall turned up fine ... though I need to take some nice shots of my precious chairs ... the diff. color patches I used don't turn up that good in a ph. camera. And thankyou for all the lovely words as usual ... :))
