Honestly, it is so much more fun to be celebrating in a bit of a chilly weather rather than sweating it out. So I guess, someone figured it out right ... Holi ought to be wet in March ... and ... Diwali with its twinkly lights is much nicer with the cool winter.
If you have ever traveled on road ... through the small towns of India on a Diwali eve ... believe me ... you'll forget the celebrations of the big cities ... each house ... each shop ... every possible wall ... twinkles with a little earthen diya. Yes, non of the fairy lights can come close in comparison to that awesomeness ... like completely out of this world awesome... :) And soooo serene ...
Well! on the flip side ... nothing like being home for Diwali ... soooo ... I guess you too must be getting in the swing of things ... at our end ... its the time to polish all the brass and I end up buying tons of candles ... and so far mostly I like the cream ones ... aaaaand flowers ... annnnnnd ... we are on our way to start of Diwali prep.'s
