What a lovely idea!!!
can u do a post on floating candles and flowers.. I always wanted to try them but the results did not look so good. Flowers just refused to float. :)

Hey, I love your idea & I've never felt the spirit of Diwali so early on . Thanks a ton for that.
For a non-artistic/non-creative person like me, I really need lots of tips & inspiration.

Dear Rajee,
Internet & blogging is soo instructive and informative! Till now I didn't know anything about Diwali! Now I read in Wikipedia that Diwali due to its spiritual and social significance and his cheerful character can be compared with Christmas in the western world. So I'm looking forward to your blogs about Diwali-preparations!
Warm regards from Austria, Traude

Hi Traude,
The worlds shrinking ... so welcome to this part of the fence, neighbour :) ... hope you discover something that'll get you in the mood to celebrate ... you are right about the two celebrations being comparable( atleast according to me )... I get into a celebration frenzy ... come Diwali or Christmas ... hope to spread this bug over to you to:) ... now only if I could send you the smell in the air when its Diwali here ... the sound and ofcourse ... the sweets we go crazy about( the calorie watchers take a break too)... noooo... I'm just kidding ... but its beautiful ... hope you enjoy what you see ...

Hi Meenaksi,
Technically speaking ... there's just so many weekends left to get into the prep. mode ... and actually speaking I am too excited :) ... you know the first few years of my married life were celebrating all these occassions in the US ... I think being away from home really built up the tempo to celebrate with all the gusto ... what with nostalgia and nostalgic friends :) ... and innovate... innovate ...it's just so much more fun ...
Do come back and share your ideas too ...and welcome to the Sood clan ;)

Hi Rosa,
In India ... everyone celebrates Diwali ... religion no bar ... but its origins lie in Hinduism ... there are tons of reasons sited for this Celebration ... and most of all it is the Victory of the Good over Evil ... and I guess here lies the universal appeal ( atleast from my point of view )... the celebrations are as big as Christmas in the west ... Diwali is called the celebration of light. The homes are litup as the sunsets ... there are prayer rituals ... after which there are loads of traditional Indian sweets and fireworks ... though in todays times we try to disuade as far as possible to not think that Diwali is all about fireworks ... because you have to believe me when I say it gets crazy ... i personally love the lights and romance of calm celebrations and all the family around ... :)
Theres so much to Diwali that I may not be able to fit it all in here ... you can check out this link below to get a wee bit idea of what it is all about ... and hope to have you come by here and join in with all of us ... :)
